About Me
My name is Elsa Dubil, and I blur the boundaries between engineering and performance.
I began my journey as a professional circus artist, performing with touring companies as an aerial acrobat. Through movement, I explored storytelling and connection, meeting faces from around the world and honing a craft rooted in creativity, discipline, and risk.
Having earned my bachelor’s degree in bioengineering from UCLA, I bring that same spirit to software and systems design. As an engineer at Illumina, I work on large-scale bioinformatics platforms—blending version control, software lifecycle development, technical documentation, and process improvement to help scientists unlock insights from genomic data..
Though I’ve built my career in biotech, I’m increasingly drawn to work that lives at the intersection of narrative, interactivity, and code. My goal is to grow as a software developer in creative technology and game development, where technical rigor meets immersive design. I believe engineering can be expressive—and I’m here to build things that move people, whether through data or play.
