Microscopic Image Analysis Automation

Our student team at the Wong Laboratory developed a machine learning model to classify time-position plots of intracellular protein dynamics and better understand biofilm formation.

We trained our model on artificial datasets of these microscopic heatmaps called "kymographs" to better understand how the protein PlzC moved within a bacterial cell.

Electrical Engineering 88S: The Internet and Free Speech

For the '21-22 academic year at UCLA, I became the fifth undergraduate student ever to independently write, propose, and teach a lecture series at UCLA on the nuances of employing free speech in internet technologies. Over the semester, I lectured to a group of 25 undergraduate students on the broader implications of computer engineering on democracy and free speech. I've included my first week's introductory slides here.
